Notes by Clive Holt. John A was chairman of John Holt Ltd after his father Robert died in 1948. He married his cousin Pamela Holt and they had two children ,Christian and Sarah. He died of a stroke in 1968, a year before my father died. Christian was about to be called to the bar when he was killed in a car accident in 1960 with his fiance Trish. His younger sister, the sweet Sarah, died of cancer in 1978 and the line came ot an end. I was at Mostyn House with Christian and we were good friends. John's wife , my aunt Pam lived on till she was over 90 and her courage having lost all of her family
